Mitchell	Mayland Early College High School (MECHS)	Mayland Early College High School was established in 2008. Located on the campus of Mayland Community College in Spruce Pine, NC the Early College pulls students from Mitchell, Avery and Yancey counties. The educational program allows students to graduate from high school while obtaining an Associate's Degree from MCC without any cost to the student. Enrollment is currently at approximately 145 students.
